Why I read cards
A lot of people end up feeling stuck, like they’re just playing a part in life instead of being themselves. Carl Jung called this the “persona”—basically a mask people wear to fit in. It might look unique, but underneath, it’s really just a role shaped by the world around us. Dream images can help guide the way forward.
I got my first tarot deck way back in 2001, when a friend gave me an Italian copy of the Aquarian deck. I started learning the history and meanings of the symbols in the images and quickly realized I had a talent for crafting stories from the images. Soon, I was enjoying reading cards for friends at parties.
Over time the questions and stories in readings started feeling repetitive. I put down the practice and would only read when requested.
Then I had a dream in which someone told me I was meant to be a game designer. That idea stuck with me, and I decided to try making my own card game—a way to turn my creative habits into something new and valuable. I thought, “Why not turn my art and daily tasks into a deck of creative prompt cards?” It made me feel like I was finally doing something positive with the digital art I had in my iPad.

Now, making and collecting card decks has become a big part of what I do. I blend cards from different decks together into collages, using intuition to find new combinations. This lets me see new stories and ideas every time. I’ve designed my own decks, and I enjoy reviewing other decks, too. You can find more of my work—and sometimes catch me streaming live readings and art sessions—on Twitch, YouTube, and my website. I’m also active on Instagram and Facebook, where I love sharing art, card insights, and connecting with others who are curious about creativity and cards.
“I love your cards Mitra, and feel a resonance with who I am. Providing a safe environment to identify aspects of (hidden/ unconsciousness) self to then open the door way of expansion to higher intelligence. ”

“I really liked the way the cards were connected to bigger personal issues. By drawing a card we use the words and images to motivate ourselves and bring motivation into our lives. Our personal interpretation of what we see allows the motivation to take on a unique character and evolve as a creative spark of energy. ”
